About Our Capalaba Service
Our Capalaba service covers every light vehicle category: cars, SUVs, 4x4s, utes, vans, light trucks, motorcycles, scooters, motortrikes, trailers, camper trailers, and caravans. We're equally comfortable with a brand-new vehicle straight off the lot, a restored classic, a heavily modified build, or a prestige performance car — as long as it's under 4.5 tonnes, we can inspect it.
The inspection process in Capalaba is straightforward. Once you book online and select your preferred time, our inspector travels to your location. The inspection takes around 30–60 minutes depending on vehicle type. Once complete, your certificate is emailed directly to you — usually before we've even left your driveway. You don't need to be home; unattended inspections are fine as long as we have access to the vehicle and keys.
Honest, Unbiased Inspections
Because we don't do repairs, there's no conflict of interest in our inspections. Our job is simply to assess whether your vehicle meets Queensland's safety standards and issue the certificate if it does. If it doesn't pass, we give you a detailed list of what needs attention — written clearly enough that any mechanic can act on it. You take that list to whoever you trust, get the work done, and come back to us for the re-check.
Fully Licensed Safety Certificates
Our inspection station is licenced as AIS 12673 by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. Every safety certificate we issue is a legally valid Queensland document, accepted for registration renewal, private vehicle sales, and resolution of defect notices.
