About Our New Chum Service
Tick It Roadworthies handles all vehicle types in New Chum: cars, SUVs, 4x4s, utes, vans, light trucks, motorcycles, scooters, motortrikes, trailers, camper trailers, and caravans — including electric and hybrid vehicles, prestige builds, and modified vehicles, all under 4.5 tonnes. We also issue Uber and DiDi Certificates of Inspection and handle defect clearance inspections.
Once you've booked a time that suits you, an inspector travels to your New Chum location at the scheduled time. The inspection itself runs approximately 30–60 minutes. Your safety certificate is emailed to you as soon as we're done — no waiting for paperwork to come through the post. Unattended bookings are perfectly fine; just leave keys accessible and we'll handle the rest.
Honest, Unbiased Inspections
Because we don't do repairs, there's no conflict of interest in our inspections. Our job is simply to assess whether your vehicle meets Queensland's safety standards and issue the certificate if it does. If it doesn't pass, we give you a detailed list of what needs attention — written clearly enough that any mechanic can act on it. You take that list to whoever you trust, get the work done, and come back to us for the re-check.
Fully Licensed Safety Certificates
Tick It Roadworthies holds Authorised Inspection Station licence AIS 12673, meaning the certificates we issue are legally valid and accepted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads for vehicle registration, private sales, and defect clearance purposes.
