Everything you need to know about safety certificates, roadworthy inspections, and how we work.
In Queensland, a safety certificate (also called a roadworthy certificate) confirms a vehicle meets the minimum safety standards set by Queensland Transport. You need one when selling a registered vehicle, transferring registration, or re-registering an unregistered vehicle.
Our pricing is competitive and shown in full on the booking system — what you see is exactly what you pay, with no add-ons or surprises. Book a time and we\'ll be there. We show up, get the job done properly, and back it with a 4.9-star track record. That includes your full mobile inspection and certificate emailed on the spot.
For most vehicles, we need the keys so we can start the vehicle and take it for a short test drive — this is a required part of the Queensland safety inspection. Trailers don’t require a test drive. So as long as keys are left accessible, you don’t need to be present. We’ll email your certificate as soon as we’re done.
We’ll give you a detailed report of exactly what needs fixing and why. Because we don’t do repairs, there’s zero conflict of interest in our assessment. Get the issues sorted with a mechanic of your choice, then rebook us for a re-inspection.
Yes! We provide Certificates of Inspection for rideshare vehicles including Uber and DiDi. These have specific requirements beyond a standard roadworthy — our inspectors are across the rideshare requirements and will get you sorted.
Most inspections take between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the vehicle type. The certificate is emailed to you on the spot as soon as the inspection is complete — no waiting around.
Yes, we inspect modified vehicles. All modifications are assessed against Queensland Transport regulations. If you’re unsure about your mods, give us a call before booking and we can talk you through it.
In Queensland, a safety certificate is valid for 2 months or 2,000 km (whichever comes first) for private vehicles, or 1 month / 1,000 km for commercial and hire vehicles. If the vehicle isn’t transferred within that window, you’ll need a new one.
