Last updated: 3 May 2025 — Tick It Roadworthies — AIS 12673
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Tick It Roadworthies (AIS 12673), a mobile vehicle inspection service operating across South East Queensland. By making a booking — whether online, by phone, SMS, or any other method — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in full.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not proceed with a booking.
Tick It Roadworthies provides mobile safety certificate and roadworthy inspection services for light vehicles under 4.5 tonnes, including but not limited to cars, SUVs, 4x4s, utes, vans, light trucks, motorcycles, scooters, motortrikes, trailers, camper trailers, and caravans across South East Queensland.
All inspections are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads under Authorised Inspection Station licence AIS 12673.
A safety certificate confirms only that the vehicle met the required Queensland safety standard at the time and location of inspection. It is not a guarantee of the vehicle's ongoing condition, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose beyond regulatory compliance at the point of inspection.
Up to 100% of the booking fee may be charged for cancelled appointments.
When a booking is confirmed, an inspector is allocated to your appointment and that time slot is made unavailable to other customers. Cancellations result in a direct loss of income and scheduling capacity that cannot always be recovered.
Cancellation fees are applied at our discretion based on the notice provided and the circumstances. As a general guide:
If you need to cancel, contact us as early as possible by phone or SMS on (07) 4079 0767.
Up to 100% of the booking fee may be charged for appointments moved by the customer.
Moving a confirmed appointment — whether changing the date, time, or location — may result in a rescheduling fee of up to 100% of the original booking fee, depending on the notice provided and the impact on our schedule.
We will always endeavour to accommodate rescheduling requests where reasonable notice is given and where our schedule allows. However, we cannot guarantee that rescheduling will be possible, or that it will be free of charge.
To move an appointment, contact us as early as possible on (07) 4079 0767.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in a suitable state for inspection at the time of the appointment. This includes but is not limited to:
If our inspector arrives and the vehicle or location does not meet these requirements, the appointment may be cancelled and a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the booking fee may apply. Our inspectors will not conduct an inspection at a location or in conditions they assess as unsafe.
Tick It Roadworthies accepts no responsibility for any damage to a vehicle before, during, or after an inspection appointment, in any capacity.
All inspections conducted by Tick It Roadworthies are visual inspections only. Our inspectors assess vehicles by sight, by starting the engine, and by conducting a short test drive where required. We do not disassemble, remove, or open any components, panels, covers, or housings as part of our inspection process. Defects that are not visible or detectable by a visual inspection — including but not limited to internal component faults, failures concealed beneath panels or within sealed systems, or issues that only manifest under specific conditions — are outside the scope of our inspection and our liability.
Tick It Roadworthies accepts no responsibility for any defects — whether identified or unidentified — before, during, or after the inspection appointment.
Vehicle inspections involve the physical examination of components that may already be in a deteriorated, worn, or compromised condition. During the course of an inspection, a component that has reached or exceeded the end of its service life may fail, crack, leak, seize, or otherwise break.
Where a component fails or is damaged during or following an inspection, this is because that component was already at or beyond the end of its service life, was pre-existing in a deteriorated or compromised state, or was not in a serviceable condition prior to the inspection. Tick It Roadworthies does not accept responsibility for such failures under any circumstances.
By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge and accept that:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Australian Consumer Law and Queensland legislation, Tick It Roadworthies excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss or damage arising in connection with our services.
If you book an appointment outside our service area by providing an incorrect council division, we reserve the right to not attend and to retain 100% of all fees paid.
Tick It Roadworthies operates exclusively within the following council areas: Brisbane City Council, Logan City Council, Ipswich City Council, Redland City Council, and Gold Coast City Council. Our booking system requires you to select your council division when making a booking. This information is used to assess availability and allocate an inspector to your area.
If a customer selects a council division that does not accurately reflect the location of the vehicle — whether intentionally or otherwise — and the actual vehicle location falls outside our service area, Tick It Roadworthies reserves the right to:
By selecting a council division in our booking system, you confirm that the vehicle to be inspected is located within that council area. If you are unsure whether your location falls within our service area, contact us before booking on (07) 4079 0767.
Whether a vehicle passes or fails the safety inspection is determined solely by our licensed inspector in accordance with Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads requirements. Tick It Roadworthies does not guarantee that any vehicle will pass an inspection.
If a vehicle fails, a written report detailing the defects will be provided. Re-inspection following rectification of defects requires a new booking and may attract a re-inspection fee.
Safety certificates are emailed to the address provided at the time of booking. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure a correct and functional email address is supplied. Tick It Roadworthies is not responsible for certificates that cannot be delivered due to incorrect contact details provided by the customer.
Certificates are valid in accordance with Queensland Transport and Main Roads regulations at the time of issue. We accept no liability for regulatory changes after the date of issue.
Pricing is displayed in the booking system at the time of booking. The price shown is the price charged for the inspection — there are no hidden charges for the inspection service itself.
Payment terms are as outlined in the booking system at the time of booking. Failure to pay may result in the certificate being withheld and/or the matter being referred to debt recovery.
Cancellation and rescheduling fees (as outlined in Sections 3 and 4) are payable in addition to any amounts already paid or outstanding, and may be charged to the payment method on file or invoiced separately.
Personal information collected during the booking process — including name, address, phone number, email address, and vehicle details — is used solely to provide our services and communicate with you in relation to your booking.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except where required to deliver our services (such as submitting inspection results to Queensland Transport and Main Roads) or where required by law.
Tick It Roadworthies reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version published on our website at the time of your booking applies. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms or our services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
