About Our The Bluff Service

We service all light vehicles in The Bluff: cars, SUVs, 4WDs, utes, vans, light trucks, motorcycles and scooters, motortrikes, trailers, camper trailers, and caravans under 4.5 tonnes. Electric vehicles, hybrids, modified builds, and prestige vehicles are all welcome. We also issue Uber and DiDi Certificates of Inspection and clearance inspections for defect notices.

Our The Bluff inspections run from booking to certificate in one smooth process. After you book online, an inspector heads to your nominated location at the agreed time. The vehicle check takes 30–60 minutes. Once done, your safety certificate lands in your inbox — often before the inspector has even pulled out of your street. Unattended bookings are no problem at all.

Honest, Unbiased Inspections

Because we don't do repairs, there's no conflict of interest in our inspections. Our job is simply to assess whether your vehicle meets Queensland's safety standards and issue the certificate if it does. If it doesn't pass, we give you a detailed list of what needs attention — written clearly enough that any mechanic can act on it. You take that list to whoever you trust, get the work done, and come back to us for the re-check.

Fully Licensed Safety Certificates

As a licenced Authorised Inspection Station (AIS 12673), Tick It Roadworthies issues certificates that carry full legal validity under Queensland transport law. Our certificates are accepted by Queensland Transport for all purposes — registration, sale, and defect clearance.

Common Questions About The Bluff

Can I get a same-day safety certificate in The Bluff?

Same-day appointments are available in The Bluff subject to inspector availability. Our online booking system shows live availability — if there's a slot that suits, you can lock it in immediately. We operate every day from 8am to 8pm.

What's the difference between a safety certificate and a roadworthy?

In Queensland, 'safety certificate' is the official term. 'Roadworthy' is commonly used across Australia but refers to the same document. Both terms describe the same Queensland inspection and certificate process — issued by a licensed AIS like Tick It Roadworthies.

Do I need a safety certificate to sell my car in The Bluff?

Yes — in Queensland, private sellers must provide a current safety certificate to buyers of registered vehicles. The certificate must be less than 2 months old and less than 2,000km since issue date. We can complete your inspection in The Bluff and have the certificate to you the same day.

What happens if my vehicle doesn't pass in The Bluff?

We'll give you a clear written report outlining exactly what failed and why. You take that to any mechanic of your choice, get the items rectified, and then rebook us for the re-inspection. There's no pressure to use a particular workshop — we don't do repairs ourselves.
